The Internet has become a huge marketplace that provides lots of opportunities for anybody to start a business and make money.

One of the most popular ways to start an online business is by selling goods in an online trading platform like Amazon. This website is known worldwide as a very convenient place to sell or buy just about anything, from expensive cars to flip flops. Amazon has millions of members all around the world, that’s why it makes a perfect place for anyone who wants to start a business.
Linda Findley is one among many sellers in Amazon that has been very successful selling her goods to customers all around the world. Linda is just single mom who got laid off from her job at an automotive company several years ago. As she was trying to find a new source of income she came across Amazon and had an idea of selling arts and craft goods (imported) from Asia, because she happened to have a cousin who lives in Singapore and she could get her a lot of beautiful arts and craft goods from neighboring countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Burma.

Linda started small by using her savings to buy a few items like small Budha statues, traditional puppets and hand-crafted wooden bracelets. She was so excited when she actually could sell most of her merchandise in a relatively short time. As she started earning a good seller reputation with some happy buyers’ feedbacks, her goods were finally sold out.
It encouraged her to be more serious about this business, so she used most of her savings to buy more arts and crafts. Business was going good for a few years, she made lots of sales and built a great reputation on Amazon until suddenly out of the blue her Amazon account was suspended. It’s true that in their website, Amazon is stating that if they suspend your account they will notify you by email to let you know the reason why the account is suspended and also to tell you what to do to reinstate your account.

But unfortunately that’s not always the case, as for Linda, her account was banned permanently without notice. She has tried to contact Amazon several times to explain that she has been a good seller, but she just received one short message saying she violated their terms and therefore her account should be terminated.
That was a huge blow for someone who relies a lot on selling goods in Amazon to make ends meet. Linda lost her business and now she got stuck with a bunch of arts and craft goods piling up in her garage that she already paid for.
Getting kicked out by Amazon when you’ve been making great sales is really painful, but if you don’t solely rely on Amazon to sell your goods, you at least can minimize the impact. Amazon is not the only place on the Internet where you can sell or buy stuff, there are many other places, like Amazon, Bonanza, Gumtree, and many more, you can even start making your own ecommerce website while you’re still hitting homerun on Amazon.
Even though you will lose a lot of sales on Amazon, at least you will not fall too hard because you still can sell your goods elsewhere.
