We have been importing all kinds of Art & craft goods from Thailand over the last 10 years to the US and EU. Our main distribution channel in North America and Europe has been the Amazon market place.
Our focus has always been to source new amazing quality goods in the far east and sell for a fair price in the west.
Over the years we have established our own brand goods, so people trust us when the buy on Amazon.

To be honest, we never really felt comfortable to have 90% of our business coming from Amazon.

So we tried Amazon in the past, but we felt our profit margin got really squeezed by the rip off fees Amazon were charging us. In my opinion Amazon is run like an Indian sweatshop, Amazon sellers are like factory workers getting very little money for the hard work they put into their business and the factory owner (Amazon) is making all the money.
We have also our own website where we sell our products on, however, success is very limited. I tried AdWords, Facebook, Bing, YouTube etc. to get traffic to our site. But success has been so far very limited.
We stopped all advertising channels, except Google Adwords. It is the only advertising platform that deliverers traffic that is also generating sales.
It was always really concerning having our business rely on Amazon only. But even we tried so hard to diversify and grow our business outside the Amazon marketplace we failed. It seems Amazon is the only place where our business seems to work.
That’s why it is even more shocking for us to have our Amazon account banned out of the blue without knowing what happened or what caused the suspension.

We have been selling on Amazon for so many years, so we never thought that this could happen. Our customer service we provided was always exceeding customer expectations. All messages we received from customers were answered within 1-2 hours or less. Our second office in Asia replied emails in the nighttime so we were able to offer 24/7 customer support.
We had excellent feedback on Amazon. It is also visible from those feedbacks that we really cared our customers and always tried our best to make everybody happy who purchased from us.
Having an excellent track record with serving our clients, offering high quality goods at bargain prices still did not stop Amazon from removing our selling privileges.
Our monthly turnover with Amazon always exceeded 200K a month. So we paid a lot of Amazon market place fees and made a lot of money for Amazon and end.
It is really hard to grasp why our Amazon account had been banned. We were several times in contact with Amazon seller support to find out why the removed our selling privileges. But they just refuse or are unwilling to clarify what went wrong.
I strongly believe that after selling on Amazon for so many years we deserve to know the reason why they closed our account.
