I started selling on Amazon about 9 years years ago, I was still Studying and also earning money from Amazon. The money I earned from Amazon helped me pay for my school fees and some other stuff. Doing business on Amazon was somehow easy for me, I imported Havaianas flip flops from brazil and sold them on Amazon.
The money I was earning was very good. The first year I started selling Havaianas flip flops I sold about 250 pairs, within 2 years I was selling about 20000 pairs yearly.
I found out that it was very much cheaper compared to having my own warehouse and paying people that will be working with me, the process of importing Havaianas flip flops from brazil was really challenging but my knowledge made it easier for me.

I was very happy with myself for the kind of business I have built, I changed my business on Amazon into a money making machine. Life was sweet and i was really earning a lot of money from Amazon, I enjoyed the sweetest part of life until my Amazon account got suspended and i must say this was the most shocking experience of my life.
The main reasons i was shocked about the suspension from Amazon
- There was no warning from Amazon before my account got suspended
- Amazon refuses to tell me the reasons why my account was suspended
- I tried going with the appeal process, without success they simply ignored me
My major problem was not my account that was suspended but it’s my money and products that were tied up and I can’t gain access to them. Amazon refuses to allow me gain access to my products and they were holding my money about $55000 inside my suspended account, why would a massive cooperation behave like fraudsters? What they are doing is illegal because you can’t hold someone else’s products and money.
I recently contacted a lawyer to sue Amazon because this act is against the law, yes I do know they have the right to suspend my account but they don’t have the right to seize all my stocks and money. Majority of people selling products on Amazon do not know that the business they have being building for years is actually defenseless to the whims of the Amazon gods. It’s the same with Russian roulette there is always a threat that you account will be suspended some day without any explanations.
Amazon work on their website like some Indian sweatshop, sellers are usually cheated with high operating cost.
Amazon really dealt with me and I am still shocked because up till now I don’t know the reason why my accounts suspended. My life turned into a nightmare after my account was suspended from Amazon.
