I began selling on Amazon almost 6 years ago. Back at that time I was still studying and the amount I earned from Amazon helped me to pay for my university fees.
I had a simple job at that time. I used to import Havaianas Flip Flops from Brazil and then sold them in the US, US and Canada. I used to earn decent profit margin back at that time. First year was really a golden period for me. I sold close to 225 pairs. Within three and a half years I was selling 16000 pairs a year. I started outsourcing order fulfillment to Amazon.
It was better than paying to other workers. I just needed to fulfill supply chain which was a real challenge.

I was very proud of myself of what I was able to achieve at the age where most of my friends were wasting their money on unnecessary things. I was able to turn a really tiny business into a machine that was spitting cash all the time.
Life would not have been better. I was studying well and making decent cash at the same time before all my dreams were shattered when I saw that my Amazon account got suspended suddenly. This was one of the biggest shocking event in my entire life that I would never forget.
1. There was no warning from Amazon on why they suspended my account.
2. They not even considered explaining me why my Amazon account was suspended.
3. I tried contacting Amazon on this issue but I did not receive any response from them.
One of the important issues is that I have so much money which is tied up in my stock I am not able to get it. Amazon refuses me access to my goods. Amazon withholds over $40,000 USD that was in my account.
I am not able to understand how large corporations like Amazon act like this could. This is illegal. They have no right to withhold someone else’s property.
I have talked to some lawyers to sue Amazon for this ridiculous behavior that is 100% illegal and unethical. They have the right to suspend my account but they simply have no right to hold my money and my available stock.
Most Amazon sellers are not aware of the fact that the businesses they build over so many years depend on the mercy of Amazon gods. It is like another Russian roulette. There will always be a risk that your account will be suspended without any notice or warning.
There are no fair and balanced appeal processes in place. Sellers get ripped off with extremely high fees. The issue is that you have to pay for every unsold action which can get really expensive.
But I never give up anything easily. I am a fighter and always will be a fighter. Nobody can suspend my Amazon account this way and think that I will give up so easily.
