There are millions of sellers on Amazon. The issue is that so many people underestimate how easy it is to get suspended from Amazon. In most cases an Amazon suspension happens out of the blue. There is no warning. Most people are totally surprised when the loose the privilege to sell on the Amazon platform.
I got hit by a ban to sell on Amazon like many others. I used to import OEM parts from China and sold them at a very competitive price. Over the years I built up more than three hundred thousand positive feedback. My feedback score used to be 99.2%.
I took customer care very serious; I had highly qualified support staff on hand 24 hours. It never took more than 1 hour until our customers received a reply to any message they sent to us. We sold only goods which we were allowed to sell, no fake products or anything that might infringes on someone’s intellectual property.

Our goods were dispatched to our customers within 24 hours or less. Over the years we gained so much experience that we were able to run our supply chain, stock management and delivery at a level not many other small sellers could ever achieve.
Still despite that we had a managed to build a business that offered OEM parts at the lowest possible price combined with high level of customer service.

Amazon still suspended our account. Our turnover exceeded two hundred thousand dollars a month. However, we were treated like someone who sells goods worth two hundred dollars a month.

It was disgrace; we could not speak to anyone. We received some standard replies why we got suspended without mentioning any specific reasons e.g. “Your Amazon account has been in violations of our Terms and Conditions… “. But they would not give us concrete reason for the Amazon suspension.
The last reply we got told us we should refrain from ever contacting Amazon ever again. I felt they treated us like scum.
I think we were defiantly in the top thousand sellers on Amazon. I assume maybe Amazon felt that we were selling to cheap so they just thought we were taking business from them away. Another reason could be that some of our competitors made false claims with Amazon which led to our suspension.
Running an Amazon business is like working for some dictator, when they want to get rid of you they just do it. No explanation or any chance to appeal the verdict of an Amazon ban. The worst is Amazon has a virtual monopoly on selling online. On competing platforms such as eBay they rip you off with fees. When I used to sell on eBay I lost around 30-40% of my revenue on items that did not sell. I actually paid a lot more money for eBay than I used to buy the actual goods.
I think Amazon should start using some third party ombudsman who decides on Amazon seller suspensions on real facts. If you’re driving license is confiscated by the police, they will tell you the reason. Amazon removes the selling privileges out of the blue without giving any reason.
